DESCRIPTION:Many home builders and remodelers can build great projects and keep them on budget. Perhaps they can even manage the flow of the work "in their heads". Some could benefit from a better understanding of the fundamentals of planning and scheduling in an effective and visually attractive way. In this 3   hour seminar\, the professional builder will learn:  The basics of planning and scheduling  Scheduling concepts and terminology  Schedule writing options (including "off the shelf" applications and high-end options)  Effective communication tips and analysis of the planned schedule vs. actual performed schedule. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss scheduling challenges\, offered some "hands-on" scheduling exercises and given sample templates to develop further. Tom is a seasoned arbitrator and a dynamic instructor and speaker on a host of construction topics. He has certifications in the Residential Code and the Building Code\, he was part of the team that recently updated the NAHB Construction Contracts and Law course\, and he is certified to teach numerous NAHB classes. Tom graduated from Georgia Tech in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction and has a background in general contracting and construction & real estate dispute resolution. This session qualifies under the rules of the Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors for three (3) continuing education credit hours and is sponsored by StrucSure Home Warranty.Event Policy: All registrations are final.
