This course is designed to provide builders with a comprehensive understanding of how homes perform beyond surface level finishes. The class emphasizes the core principles of building science including energy efficiency, moisture management, and indoor air quality, while delivering practical, real-world guidance on mold prevention and remediation, water damage response, radon awareness and mitigation, and high performance construction practices. Attendees will gain the knowledge to effectively manage moisture, enhance air sealing and ventilation, collaborate with remediation professionals, and construct healthier, more durable, and energy efficient homes in alignment with standards set by organizations such as the Environmental Protection Agency, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the International Energy Conservation Code.
This session qualifies under the rules of the Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors for three (3) continuing education credit hours.
